
Chalakudy, Thrissur – The Chalakudy Forest Development Agency (FDA) successfully conducted its Annual General Body Meeting on July 11, 2025, at the Chalakudy Forest IB Hall. The event saw a robust gathering of officials and stakeholders, highlighting the agency’s commitment to local development and forest conservation.
The meeting was honored by the presence of Shri. Saneeshkumar Joseph, MLA of Chalakudy Constituency, who attended as the chief guest, underscored the legislative support for the agency’s initiatives.
Shri. Mathew T.S., ACF (SIP) Thrissur, representing the Chief Conservator of Forest, Thrissur Central Circle, presided over the meeting, guiding the day’s proceedings. The gathering commenced with a warm welcome extended by Smt. Devika Sangamithra, Range Forest Officer, Central Nursery.
A key highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the annual activity report by Shri. Venkateswaran IFS, Divisional Forest Officer, Chalakudy. The report detailed the agency’s accomplishments and ongoing projects. Representatives from various crucial departments, including the Registrar Department, Industries Department, Health Department, and Agriculture Department, also provided detailed insights and updates relevant to the agency’s operations.
A particularly noteworthy discussion came from Smt. Mini of the Industries Department, who outlined the procedures for providing essential machinery to committee members at subsidized rates. This initiative is expected to significantly empower local communities involved with the agency.
In a heartwarming gesture, Shri. Ranjith, Secretary of Thenattampara Kathir Vayanasala, received a much-needed sports kit for the library members, promoting community engagement and well-being.
The meeting saw the active participation of Shri. Jobin Joseph, Range Forest Officer, Pariyaram, and Shri. Rajanth, FDA Section Clerk, along with other key personnel, including Deputy Range Officers, VSS Secretaries, VSS Presidents, selected FDA members, and division office staff, all contributed to the productive discussions.
The meeting concluded with Shri. Shinoj K.S., Range Forest Officer, Vellikkulangara, delivering the vote of thanks, expressed gratitude to all participants.
