Launched in October 2022, the Kerala government’s Lucky Bill app tackles GST evasion while offering exciting prizes to consumers.
- The Lucky Bill App Project- Win Prizes by Uploading Bills: Customers upload bills through the app, entering them into daily, weekly, and monthly lucky draws.

The daily prize includes a Rs. 1,000 gift hamper filled with unique products sourced from Anapantham Adivasi Vana Samrakshana Samithi under the Chalakudy FDA of the Kerala Forest Department.
Benefits to Tribal Communities
- Income Generation: Over Rs. 70 lakhs in revenue has been generated for the Forest Department, which is then directed back to the NTFP (Non-Timber Forest Produce) collectors, creating a sustainable income source.
- Employment Opportunities for Women: Fully managed by women, this project has provided over 1200 labor days for those who are involved in collecting, processing, and packing these natural products.
A Collaborative Effort
The Lucky Bill App’s success is a testament to collaboration between three government departments:
- Kerala Forest Department: Provides Vanasree products (gift packages) and supports tribal communities.
- Kerala GST Department: Encourages bill collection to prevent tax evasion.
- India Post: Distribution and delivery of Vanasree gift packages.
This initiative highlights how government departments can work together to achieve social and economic goals while promoting responsible consumerism.
